lesson_todo

Maybe I'm the only one this disorganized, but my assistant and I are constantly asking each other, "Have we taught this lesson yet?" or, "It's my turn to teach, which lesson are we on?" Here's the solution, a python script to create a Backpack(TM) page with a todo list for all the lessons in a Church lesson manual. Go to the lesson_todo page to learn more!

LDSDPS

The Latter-day Saint Data Processing System is a plugin-oriented general purpose data processing utility to assist members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in performing their volunteer work. It has been abandoned by its original author and is looking for a good caretaker.

LDS Web Calendar Converter

This is a simple program for Microsoft Windows to convert the calendars found on the Church's website to comma separated values (.csv) format. This enables them to be read into Microsoft Outlook easily.

MLS Rpt

A program that reads the MLS export files (Membership, Organization, and HT/VT) and creates a number of reports, including some formatted for viewing with Mark My Scriptures by Skimware on a PDA. It also creates CSV files that can be imported into Access or any other database package.

Copies of the MlsRpt program can be downloaded from Bill Pringle's LDS download page .

MLS Tips, Tricks, and Hacks

A community support forum for the official Church software, Member and Leader Services.

Scouting

ScoutTracker : Scout Tracker tracks Boy Scout advancements towards their Eagle Scout. Scouts can monitor their camping nights, service hours, and leadership. Scoutmasters can let the boys know of incomplete requirements without affecting the boy's advancement records. Worksheets created for the scouts are stored in a database for easy view and hide access. Scouts can view the progress of all scouts to enable them to find other scouts who need to work on the same requirement or merit badge. Only leaders and administrators can change data on the site. The best part is that parents and scouts can access their information anytime they want without having to call the Scoutmaster.

Emergency Preparedness

Emergency Preparedness Database This software helps a ward keep track of what resources are in a ward in case of an emergency. It keeps track of things such as who knows First Aid, who has a 4X4 vehicle, who has extra bedrooms and beds, and other things that would be useful to know in an emergency. The software has search and summary capabilities. It also imports data from MLS (the membership software created by the church)
